Crateless Dog Boarding Facility in Lansing, MI
At The Elegant Pooch we are a crateless facility. While your pet is enjoying his or her stay, they will be able to relax in one of our suites, enjoy some TV and get to play in our outdoor fenced area. Each suite has a bed, blanket, pillow, toy and treat waiting for our guests. We do carry bowls, as well. You are free to bring a toy or blanket if you feel it will make your pet more comfortable. Though we do our best to get personal items back to the client, sometimes things will get lost or chewed up. Please keep any special or expensive items you or your pet don't want to lose at home. We are a small facility allowing us the ability give more one on one care to your special furry family member. Because we are small, we board up to 30lbs or geriatric pets over 10 years. Unfortunately, due to our size, we cannot accommodate high energy, larger breeds that need more space to run off all that happy zing!

Medications in pill form are given free of charge
Food
We do not carry food. Please bring enough food to cover your pets' stay. We do have plenty of treats on hand and love to give our guests snacks throughout the day.
Pricing and Check-in/Check-out
Boarding is $42 a night. The charges work just like a hotel. Check-in time is anytime during the day of arrival starting at 8AM when we open. Check-out is before noon but can be extended to as late at 5:30pm for an additional $20 charge. Saturdays we close at 4 making latest check-out being 3:30PM
On Sundays we are closed but do offer check-out between the hours of 4-6PM. Sundays and Holidays will always be a full $42 charge. For example, if you drop off Saturday and pick up Sunday, your total will be $84. If you choose to wait and pick up Monday morning,before noon, then the price would still be $84. You are always charged the full $42 for Sundays and Holidays.

Luxury Dog Suites
You won't have to worry about your fur baby at our facility. They go outside to potty and play every 2 hours. There are toys for outdoor and indoor play. We have comfy and crateless suites available for them while enjoying their day. Treats will be waiting for them the moment they enter their suite. We know that dogs can get anxious while being in an unfamiliar place. We don't want to add to their stress by keeping them in a crate during their stay.
